Helping foundations deliver greater impact

We partnered with Temelio to redesign their product, cleaning up two years of design debt that comes with launching early and shipping fast. Temelio's grants management platform had grown large proposal workflows, a foundation CRM, document management, and reporting, all built at speed. We rebuilt it into one cohesive design system and fixed the experience gaps that had built up across the platform.

The dashboard had to work for two different rhythms: a high-level read on what's happening across the foundation, and a running list of what needs action today. We split it into an overview and a dedicated Tasks view, so staff can check in at a glance or drop into their queue without digging.

Grant review was the core of the product, and it had outgrown its original design. We rebuilt the proposal-to-approval flow, payments, reports, reviewer assignment, and a form builder for custom applications as one connected system instead of a set of disconnected screens.

Grantmakers live in paperwork, and Temelio's document tools hadn't kept pace with how much of it they handle. We designed a template library for the documents foundations send out again and again, plus a Document Center with version tracking, so nothing gets lost between drafts.

The CRM is where relationships live: grantees, constituents, and the communications tied to them. We gave it a structure that separates who you're funding from who you're in touch with, with communications logged against each so history isn't scattered across inboxes.

Foundations need to show impact, not just track it. We designed a reporting suite dashboard, raw data, and analytics that turns grant activity into the charts and breakdowns staff actually bring to board meetings.

Settings had become a catch-all, so we gave it real structure: user and admin controls, pipeline configuration, email templates, donor management, and display preferences, each with its own space instead of one long list.

With this much data grantees, proposals, documents, contacts finding anything fast matters. We built global search to surface results across the whole platform, paired with a notifications system that keeps staff aware of what's moved without checking every page.
